Rosé Wines - 2019
A semi-dry rosé melding freshness and sweetness !
Vineyard
The vines are located in Bellevigne-en-Layon (Faye d'Anjou, Thouarcé and Faveraye-Mâchelles). The soils are made from clay and shist, which bring freshness and minerality to the grapes.
Rosé d'Anjou is made from three local grapes: Grolleau, Pineau d'Aunis and Cabernet Franc.
Harvest
The grapes are handpicked and put in buckets. They are then brought to the winepress by a dump truck vehicle.
The hoist and vibrations mechanism of the truck allow the grapes to let down gently in the winepress.
Winemaking
Before the alcoholic fermentation in the stainless steel vat, we proceed to a skin maceration from the grapes with the juice for a few hours to let the tannins contained in the skin give the right colour to the juice.
Then we go for the alcoholic fermentation and the ageing of the wine until the month of February, where the wine is bottled.
Duration: 1 to 3 years
Tasting
Semi-dry rosé wine. Brilliant and lovely orange pink colour with violet hints. Delicate exotic fruits flavours on the nose, as well as freshness. Red fruits flavours on the palate, balanced sweetness and a spicy finish.
Tasting temperature: 10°C to 16°C
Sommelier's advice:
Best served fresh between 8°C and 10°C. Rosé d'Anjou can be enjoyed as an appetizer but also along the meal. Barbecues, salads, grilled white meats and Asian food will definitely pair with this rosé.
